I resent that comment, since I've joined the testing I test everything they tell us to, including PvP, and we don't tell them how to fix the game, all we do is offer suggestions on how to fix the game, it's up to them to implement what the feel is right.

We use Team Arena purely for farming faction. Therefore, grief builds, such as spirit blocking, are quite annoying and simply a waste of time.

Don't forget that if he fails to kill that NPC within say, 30 seconds, he just disappears from the map and you get XP for him.

While this thread is good for a laugh I hope you weren't being serious, some people play PvE for the soul purpose that they hate that sort of shit that goes on in most PvP.

I'm assuming it was a joke though, and I can laugh at that.

I don't PvP at all and have no plans on doing it. Setting up PvE to prepare people for PvP is silly. If people want to get better at PvP, they can go PvP.

Thats a very interesing notion. Now if only PvP players didn't have to go through PvE maybe they'd try and do that.

You're turning PvE into PvP with your suggestions.

First of all: You said you wanted to rid the game of pre-searing. Pre-searing can be fun, its a good place to learn the game, and its a great place to get some quick levels in.

Your next suggestion, saying that "every" mob should have one-two monk BOSSES??? Why should every mob have a monk BOSS? Maybe you just meant a monk??? And with energy management abilities? All creatures either use creature-only skills, or the classes their set class uses. Creatures do not 'dual-class', and if they did... it would be chaos for both the AI and players alike.

The next thing I would like to address:

Completely untrue. You must be the biggest noob ever. Fertile season is overpowered, and nature's renewal is completely broken... both are just unfair. Although, not every pvp team needs these, or should even bring these... Don't make such a bold statement.

Next you want a ranger that spams spirits, uses oath shot, and poisons everything? Ok, so you want apply poison on that ranger... you want it to poison everything while it's laying down spirits... and to get oath shots off... that's a lot of micro on one little monster's AI...

You want E/Mo smiters as PvE monsters too!!! WTF? PvE will become PvP against AI's... People who do not have an elite guild to help them out will be screwed... "PUG" PvE groups will suck!!! And wtf... PvE groups are almost all PuG, and this is why people never refer to them as PuGs...

You want mesmers in the groups too... energy denial now... looking a lot more like pvp...

Finally, a necro with putrid and tainted... So let's put this all together:

Every group should have 2 monk bosses to heal, an e/mo smiter, a couple mesmers with energy denial, a necromancer with putrid and tainted, and a spirit spammer: a total of 6 or more creatures... each one with 1 or more elite... Since everyone will be poisoned and diseased (tainted and apply) your team will have 8 degen... the creatures have so much removal that its hard to get your regen up... they shut down your healers so you're healing less... every PvE group now needs 3 compitent (or 6 random crappy) monks... lol

This makes PvE a PvP... it brings the underworld and fissure combined into the world above... this takes tombs and make it look laughably easy to win in...

Think before you post a thread like this. You're saying you want every group to have creatures with lots of elites, dual classes, perfect AI's with perfect pvp builds, and ready for a 12v8 (your team is the 8) where they have everything you have and more... dream on...

The problem, which Blackace alludes to, is that ANet advertised a product that was PvP focused and supposed to be PvP ready out of the box. What they delievered was a mixed bag, with aspects that appealed to both PvE and PvP players. Now we can debate the merits of that finished product all we want, but what it comes down to is... did ANet deliever what they advertised/promised?

I finally came to this conclusion today and it really does fit the puzzle. The only thing ANet did "wrong" was it did not release the product they advertised. They released a great product, no doubt about it. But it's not the product that many in the PvP community were expecting. And THAT is the source of the complaints IMO.

It's called rushing. Any character can skip 90% of PvE if they find it dull.

There is too much that needs changing. I'm saying that his suggestions are just crazy... he wants to turn PvE into PvP...

His general intentions and what he wants are great... but the specific suggestions he has would ruin the game.

[edit] I see people don't like what I said. Please address each thing I said individual with a reason, and I'll go over it... I'm not perfect, but I'm just addressing the original poster's comments as being too much... it would change the game in a negative way. [/edit]

Canadian either you're totally dumb, or you have no sense of humour. I hope for you it's the second one.

Blackace made a semi-ironic thread and you're taking it to the first degree...

With your own words : think before you post.

Don't let the sarcasm of Blackace's post get lost on anyone.

It was tongue-in-cheek post. Let's just keep it friendly and not turn this into yet another "I hate ANet" thread OR a flame barrage against those that might have missed the original intent, 'k?
